In this episode, Phoenix discusses: how boring Travis is, how amazing Chris' transformation is, how not seeing a grave for someone isn't proof of their survival, how slowly stabbing 2 zombies in the head isn't proof of badassery, and how a fear of loud noises is a surefire way to get killed in this world. Plus he takes credit for Chris' turn to the dark side. AMC listens to this show right?
56: Fear The Walking Dead - 209 - Los Muertos
In this episode, Phoenix gets really angry about how easy it is to blend in with these boring zombies. Are the zombies in this show so tame because they're west coast relaxed? At any rate, it was a good episode with stupid decisions made by every single major character. Surrounded by zombies that want to eat your entire body and people that want to rape that body, rob and kill you? Better get shit-faced drunk in a place that you aren't familiar with without anyone guarding the perimeter. These characters deserve to die.
55: Fear The Walking Dead - 208 - Grotesque
In this episode...you know what? This was a good episode that focused only on Nick but Phoenix hated discussing it because nothing much happened. So this episode falls apart toward the end due to disinterest. You've been warned. Oh, wait... If you're in the apocalypse and have to walk 100 miles to Tijuana...grab a fucking bicycle, they're goddamn everywhere.
54: Fear The Walking Dead - 207 - Shiva
The mid-season finale is here. Whatever the hell that is. Nick is a scary blood covered psychopath. Daniel is a voice-hearing psychopath. Celia is a zombie-alive-keeper psychopath. Travis is a psychopath deny-er. Chris is just a psychopath. Will he finally become a villain like Phoenix wants? Maybe. The answer is maybe.
53: Fear The Walking Dead - 206 - Sicut Cervus
This episode is a couple months delayed. Sorry. In this episode, Phoenix talks about the psychopath growing inside Chris, Nick having to kill a bunch of kids, Daniel losing his goddamn mind and the dangers of repeating plot points of The Walking Dead....I mean, we're finally off the boat but now we're on a farm where they keep zombies locked up in a shed. Sound familiar? At least nobody is pregnant. Unless you consider Chris being pregnant with insanity. Sooner or later the water will break and a newborn baby psychopath will be loose. Did that make sense? Oh well.
52: Fear The Walking Dead - 205 - Captive
In this episode, Phoenix has to deal with yet another episode on a boat. But this time there's a twist! It's set on 3 different boats! Even when they are on land it's a boat on land. I shit you not. He also talks about how Alicia is finally becoming a decent character and how Chris needs to be put down (killed). Daniel is coming undone? Already? The only great character. Phoenix also asks his female listeners to send him an email at loiteringinwonderland@gmail.com and let him know what they think about the poor writing of female characters on this show. Seriously, he needs your opinions.
51: Fear The Walking Dead - 204 - Blood In The Streets
In this episode, Phoenix talks about how in all 4 episodes this season, a character or characters went to dry land while other stayed on the boat, had an experience that didn't matter on the land and then at the end of the episode came back to the boat. Well THIS episode threw a wrench in that because the experience on land wasn't an island and the side plot actually matters. Know what the worst gunman in the world is? An annoying 8 month pregnant woman. This episode wasn't bad, it was just kind of boring and that's the worst thing you can be.
50: Fear The Walking Dead - 203 - Ouroboros
Holy shit I've done 50 of these. In this episode I talked about the title not really applying here, how 2 episodes in a row consisted of half the crew going to an island for the episode and then coming back to the boat at the end without much being accomplished, my wishes for possible show structure, my wishes for Chris' character, how the holy fuck that zombie got halfway in the sand and eaten by crabs and then I talked about the badass scene with Nick in a bloody pilot outfit.
49: Fear The Walking Dead - 202 - We All Fall Down
In this episode, Phoenix talks about how they kind of got off the boat for an episode. It still counts toward the 4 episode buffer zone he's giving this show to get off the goddamn boat. In this FTWD episode, our group joins Jonestown Steve Jobs and his family on an island which seems perfect but nobody seems to like except George. I don't know what they think is better thank this island. It's secluded, Surrounded by water which is the slowest way a zombie can travel, it can grow food, it has a great house on a hilltop, it's not on the east coast so that means it won't snow, it's literally perfect except George's plans. Kill George and take over. What is Victor up to? I hope the show gets to it before I stop caring. Enjoy!
48: Fear The Walking Dead - 201 - Monster
Season 2 of this show is where it can really turn great or shitty. Season 1 pretty much wrote itself so let's see something unexpected. Also, stop making all of your characters suck. Learn to write female characters. Stop being on a boat. Side note, decent show.
47: The Walking Dead - Season 7 Predictions
In this episode, Phoenix lays out what he thinks will happen in season 7. Originally he planned to do that at the end of episode 46 but he was sick and out of it. Deal with it. Instead he recorded this 10 minute rant about what is coming our way in season 7 of TWD. He also touches on how FTWD needs to prove itself with season 2.
46: The Walking Dead - 616 - Last Day On Earth
In this episode, Phoenix talks about Negan and his 10 minute speech before beating someone... just someone. That's how they chose to end a season. Just a black screen with crunching sounds. He forgets to mention how he thinks next season will go so we will mention it now: first half of season 7 is working with Negan and plotting against him and the second half will be overthrowing him. That is about it for season 7. See you guys for season 8!
45: The Walking Dead - 615 - East
In this episode, Phoenix is confused by the weird timeline of tracking Carol. It's not a major plot line but it was confusing nonetheless. He also talks about how Daryl is only important because of the fans and that might not be the best thing.
44: The Walking Dead - 614 - Twice As Far
In this episode Phoenix breaks down the pointless character Denise and how she managed to stay fat despite constant food rationing and lack of sugary foods. He also discusses Carol and her ping-pong feelings toward the group in general. This was a good episode. Listen or die. Or both. Who cares.
43: The Walking Dead - 613 - The Same Boat
In this episode, Phoenix predicted a boring bottle episode but what he got was an interesting bottle episode. This one is to save money. Don't fool yourself. Luckily for us, they made a good one out of it. An annoying redhead, a medieval monster, Michelle Rodriguez and a bullet magnet kidnap Carol and Maggie for a battle of annoying voices. Who will win? Probably our main characters. Just a guess. And a fact. Enjoy.
42: The Walking Dead - 612 - Not Tomorrow Yet
In this episode, Phoenix talks about how much of this episodes reminded him of a Steven Seagal movie and somehow that isn't a bad thing. Somehow. Great episode that really ups the ante for the season. Possibly the best episode yet. Plus, zombie violence porn. Phoenix may never stop masturbating now.
41: The Walking Dead - 611 - Knots Untie
In this episode, Phoenix has a raspy voice and talks into a lapel microphone because a friend is borrowing the sound mixer for an NBA podcast. He talks about the great casting on Gregory, why the group loves to abandon Alexandria without anyone to defend it, how the power situation is confusing in the Hilltop, how he forgot Greggory was a creepy dude, the continuing letdown of the Maggie-Glenn reunion.
40: The Walking Dead - 610 - The Next World
After the excitement from the last episode aren’t you ready for a break already? I know I sure aren’t. This episode features the arrival of Jesus, one of the better comic characters. Still no Negan though… Oh well. Ironically Negan’s arrival is like waiting for the second coming of Jesus. Wait, I just confused myself. At any rate, this one has some sex that Trump supporters wouldn’t approve of. Phoenix also wishes the next episode is just one long sex scene between Rick and Michonne. Will he get his erotic wish?
39: The Walking Dead - 609 - No Way Out
And we’re back from the pointless and ever popular mid-season break! TV used to be 24 episodes at 44 minutes each and they didn’t take a break halfway through. Now it’s 13-16 episodes a year and they have to take a goddamn break. Zombies must be exhausting work. Anyway, shit hits the fan in this episode and it’s awesome. This one sticks super close to the comics. How many useless characters will die? 3. The answer is 3.
38: The Walking Dead - 608 - Start To Finish
How will the mid-season finale end? Not at all like Phoenix predicted it would. It ends much slower than he guessed which is amazing because he doesn't give the show much credit at all. Phoenix also again stresses how this episode was extremely preventable if they just cleaned out the zombies nonstop. When will these fictional characters listen to this podcast that they can't download because of a lack of power and therefore internet? Damn them to a zombie filled hell.
