In this episode Phoenix finally gets validation on his wild claim that Glenn was alive. Also he complains about the show some more, mostly about how they don't have a duty at Alexandria in which people stab zombies in the head all day to keep their numbers down. Instead they just keep adding more to the inside of the walls which actually makes Alexandria smaller every single day. Figure it out, people. Balloons. A big part of this episode is balloons. You'll have to watch to figure out why.
36: The Walking Dead - 606 - Always Accountable
Daryl, Abraham and Sasha are finally back! Daryl's storyline is awesome but Sasha and Abraham just talk about being accountable and in control for too long. Plus we are introduced to new characters that are vague and not complex at all. Plus a random girl is pointlessly and lazily killed to serve the storyline! Yay! Good episode though. Seriously.
35: The Walking Dead - 605 - Now
In this episode Phoenix talks about his predictions from the 604 episode. He also talks about how this entire episode is compiled of different one-on-one conversations. Then he gets angry about a few things: why they don't just duct-tape a knife to a stick and kill zombies in shifts all day long until they are just gone, why Deanna is a melting pile of depression, why Ron is such a bitch, why Jessie's son has the stupid haircut and why Maggie is hogging the southern accent in the Greene family.
34: The Walking Dead - 604 - Here's Not Here
Spoilers be here. Right after Phoenix airs his complains about the Morgan character, what does he get? An entire fucking episode about Morgan having a bonding experience with an amazing actor that obviously won't live through the episode. Why does this show hate us? Phoenix also repeats his theory on the fate of Glenn which might have already been answered but he hasn't watched 605 yet despite it being titled 'Now'. Phoenix is a rebel and will watch it later.
33: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 24: Life And Death
In this episode, Phoenix discusses the true value of Michonne (who is back by the way), What he would do sexually for the person that provided sock-eye salmon in the apocalypse, the bullshit lifestyle of the Whisperers, how invalid of an excuse of rape hurting is for Alpha, and how confusing it gets when all the main characters are all spread out in different places. Plus he tries to get you to go to his website to buy his books. Do it.
32: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 23: Whispers Into Screams
In this episode, Phoenix talks about how inaccurate of a title "Whispers Into Screams" is, at least for this particular chapter. It should be the title of chapter 24. Carl is officially a teenage pimp. Where is Michonne? Is it Claudette or Tammy? Why does she call Maggie a cunt? Find out all those answers in this episode.
31: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 22: A New Beginning
In this chapter, society is rebuilt and it's kinda awesome. Phoenix is confused by how much time has passed but he figures it out way too far into the show. Rick look like shit, Maggie has Hershel instead of Glenn as a child, Andrea is the same, Carl is seemingly 6 years older despite it only being less than 2 years later. Whatever. The timeline is confusing. Phoenix loves what they did with Magna's group. The end.
30: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 21: All Out War Part 2
In this one, Phoenix explains how much he hates waiting for his shows so that's why he binge watches/reads everything. This is part 2 of the war and he's glad that he didn't have to keep waiting to see how it ended since he had all the books stockpiled already. He loves Negan so much that it's hard to see it all come to an end. Phoenix also is terribly confused as to WHAT exactly spreads the virus after Negan's plan of infecting their weapons and cutting people to spread the infection works. It's confusing.
29: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 20: All Out War Part 1
Phoenix loves this chapter. More specifically he loves the concept of having/owning/needing "shitting pants" as Negan suggests. He again explains how bored he is watching Michonne bang people and then shut off afterward. He explains every aspect of the war that is happening here. He loves how Negan makes mistakes and isn't just a typical Bond villain. Then he goes into length to explain how stupid Bond villains are. Blah.
28: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 19: March To War
In this one Phoenix talks about how he's bored with Michonne's character in the comic but not in the show. In the comic if she isn't slicing off zombie heads, she is banging a dude without emotion over and over. He also loves the way Negan is written and how he isn't just another bullshit villain. He also goes into what he really thinks happened to the fate of a character in episode 603 of the TV show. It is spoiler free but when he gets into TV spoilers, he tells you to turn it off so don't worry.
27: The Walking Dead - 603 - Thank You
Thank You for being a zombie friend! Not quite sure what the episode title means at all but had a ball describing the show. Phoenix attempt to describe the difference between the show and the comic in this episode of The Walking Dead. He focuses a lot on how he couldn't keep track of all the boring Alexandria characters but it doesn't matter because they're mostly all dead now. Does Nicholas have PTSD? Probably. Does Daryl finally get off the motorcycle this season? Nope. Will Michonne learn to love? Heath thinks so. Which doughy white dudes die? A few of them. Will Negan ever show up? Phoenix wishes. Although they'd have to censor him out all the time.
26: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 18: What Comes After
What Comes After. Andrea moves out for 20 seconds then doesn't. Jesus follows Dwight. Jesus is used to the other way around. He's a better leader than follower because he gets caught. Anyway, Negan is a badass and has to swear every other word in order to show his power. Lucille is sexy, make sure you eat her 'bat pussy'. This is a weird chapter with tons of back and forth between Rick and everyone else in the entire comic universe.
25: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 17: Something To Fear
Something To Fear is fucking brutal. They kill off 2 main characters. TWO. To. TOO...many characters die in this one. It's just 2 but it seems like a lot. This chapter is awesome and it's filled with lots of new characters to hate/fear/lust after. Phoenix got his wish and Negan is a villain! He asked for this a few chapters ago when a random dude showed up at the gate and Andrea killed him in a page. It was a let down that finally paid off! Will it be worth it? Yes it will. Phoenix already knows the answer because he read ahead!
24: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 16: A Larger World
In this chapter, our characters find out they aren't the only psychopath assholes in the world. There are plenty more! This one introduces the Hilltop people, which makes them sound like a cult. Phoenix also talks about Land Of The Dead and how terrible it was. Then he talks about new character, Jesus and assumes it isn't pronounced in the hispanic manner. The dude is white, just like Jesus Christ....wasn't. Anyway he looks like American Jesus with white skin and long hair.
23: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 15: We Find Ourselves
We Find Ourselves sounds like a book you'd give to your kid as they're about to enter puberty. This chapter was purely just a set up for the chaos that happens later. Nobody dies, nobody new is introduced. Phoenix then does his Mark Wahlberg impression for a solid minute before getting back to describing the comic. Nicholas attempts to take over the town but doesn't. It was literally that exciting on the page too. He apologizes to Rick but he doesn't seem to give a shit. Typical man. (Thanks for the joke, Pam, the fat lady at every office with lame gender jokes)
22: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 14: No Way Out
In this episode, Phoenix complains that Aaron and Eric have too similar of names, originally he thought it was Aaron and Erin so that didn't help. He also has a suggestion for the people in this world: if someone is mad at you, give it 30 Mississippi's and they'll forget about it. Shit hits the fan in this chapter just like every third chapter. Carl takes a lesson from his father and goes into a coma. Rick would be so proud.
21: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 13: Too Far Gone
Too Far Gone is how Phoenix felt about Derek being killed so quickly at the end of the chapter. The comic introduced a cool villain and IMMEDIATELY killed him off without even a fight. What a shame. Our group has pretty much taken over Alexandria already and it doesn't go well.
20: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 12: Life Among Them
Life Among Them was like Norman Rockwell meets George Romero. Lies are exposed, new ones are made. Eugene still has a mullet. Glenn looks exactly like Maggie when he takes his hat off. Rick starts a new love/hate relationship with Douglas inside Alexandria. They will be there a while so get comfortable. But not too comfortable because shit hits the fan soon. Listener beware.
19: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 11: Fear The Hunters
Fear The Hunters. Get this: a priest and a zombie walk into a bar. The zombie says to the priest "ahhgraaaghhh." The priest says to the zombie, "The lord shall keep me safe." The zombie proceeds to eat the priest because his nonviolent attitude is useless in the zombie apocalypse. Holy shit Gabriel is so insanely useless. He's just another pointless mouth to feed. Phoenix spends time in this installment talking about who/what is useful and what is not.
18: The Walking Dead Comic - Chapter 10: What We Become
What We Become is a sad one. Rick and Carl are still feeling the loss of Lori and Judith. Phoenix can't image why because he hates Lori with all his heart. Phoenix also spends a lot of this episode focusing on Rick's sleep mannerisms. Just saying... maybe if he slept more he wouldn't have to take a week long coma every few months. Also, he's horrified and confused as to why grown men would want to rape Carl when they are already surrounded by adult men to fuck. Weird.
